ROAD EVENTS

ATTENTION 90KM PARTICIPANTS!!!

Due to unplanned roadworks on the R302, the event team has decided a route change was the only viable option to be able to proceed with the race. Your safety is our top priority. The roadworks section is about 4.0km long, and with the amount of riders passing through there, it would be unsafe for you, the construction workers and motorists.

The 90km route will now be 96km (talk about getting value for money).

1. The events will start as usual in Oxford Street, Durbanville @ 06h00

2. The 46 km will again be turning left at the R312 /R304

3. The long, now being 96 km, will continue on the R312 to the R44, turning left towards Wellington to turn left on the R45 intersection outside Wellington.

4. It will continue towards Malmesbury and again turning left again towards Paardeberg.

5. At the Vryguns Road/Voor Paardeberg Road intersection, it will continue straight on Slent Road towards the R302/R304 intersection, going across to turn right on the R304 towards Philadelphia.

6. It will continue and then be turning left towards Durbanville on Adderley Rd to finish outside Durbanville.

We hope that you are understand and support the decision made by the team, and we want to thank all of the stakeholders that made this route change possible at such short notice.

As a side note, the team is working hard to deliver an great event for you, and as such, we kindly request that you don't bombard us with queries regarding this matter. We are still ironing out all of the kinks, and although we love hearing from you, we want to make sure this race will be at the standards you expect from the Durbie Dash. IF there is an urgent question, please visit our website and send as a message through the contact form. www.durbiedash.co.za

We can't wait to see all of you tomorrow!

The road event portfolio includes two exciting events. Both road events start in Oxford Street, next to the cricket fields where the starting groups will be formed.

Both the 96km and 46km distances are Cycling SA sanctioned events. E-bikes are allowed as a separate starting group in the 90km and 46km events.

The road enthusiast may choose between The Winelands Meander (46km medium distance event) or The Wheatlands Dash (90km long distance event).

Lead Vehicles for both events are supplied by Land Rover N1 City.

After completing their respective events, participants will return to the Rugby Field to receive their medal and refreshments.

Please note that all Road event entries are managed by the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust. The timing and results will be managed through Finish Time. The Road events are sanctioned by Cycling South Africa and participants who are not a member of Cycling SA will be required to purchase a day license.  Riders are to use the Permanent Bike boards (supplied to all CTCTT riders in 2024) or alternatively purchase a new one at a cost of
